The Animal Crossing Town Hall and Civic Centre
The Town Hall
The town hall is always open for your convenience. Both the civic centre and the post office are located inside the town hall. At the right counter, you can conduct financial business, like depositing and withdrawing funds or paying off your debt to Tom Nook and take care of all your postal needs, like mailing correspondence and managing the flood of letters you have received. At the left counter you can make donations, check the environment, change the town tune or declare you are ready to move away.
Recycling Station
Look for the green bin inside the town hall. Use the recycling bin to get rid of unwanted items. Occasionally you may find items that other people have left for recycling – there is nothing wrong with taking them for yourself.
The Civic Centre
The civic centre (the counter to the left with the green welcome mat) is run by Pelly. Check the quality of the environment of your town, donate to charity or let Pelly know that you have had it with your town and would like to move.
The Environment
Pelly monitors the town’s spirit in relation to the vegetation growing. She will give you a rating of how healthy the environment is. If you have lots of weeds and many dying plants, you will get a poor rating. If you have kept up on your gardening, you will get a high score.
Town Tunes
The town has a present tune that plays every time you talk to someone in town. If you don’t like the music, you can change it. Just move the notes up and down to compose your new hit song.
Donations
If you are feeling charitable you can make donations to the town of Boondox at the civic centre. Besides making yourself feel good, you may receive exclusive gifts as rewards for how much you have donated. Check below for more details about donating…

Moving Out of Town
Sometimes you just don’t click with the town you live in. It might be the layout of the town, or it could be your neighbours. Luckily, you can always start your life over in another town. If you let Pelly know you want to move, she will make it happen.
Phyllis and the Night Shift
The Town Hall is open 24 hours a day and it is too much to ask Pelly to stay there all the time – she would end up getting very grumpy. Luckily, her sister Phyllis takes over for the night shift, and will also help out if you have visitors from another town.
Phyllis is always in a bad mood – it must be the night hours getting to her. Whenever you ask her for help, she will act like you are imposing on her. Don’t let her sullen mood and poor customer service bother you – she treats everyone this way!
