Pokemon Glittering Cave Walkthrough
This deep, dark cave is filled with twists and turns, and of course, lots of wild Pokemon. But fear not, you have a map to guide you through! The workers at the Fossil Lab in Ambrette Town told you that one of their colleagues has been searching for fossils here. Perhaps this person knows more about Mega Evolution…
Step 1
Glittering Cave’s first set of tunnels is quite dark, and it is easy to become lost if you are not careful. If you are in a rush, simply run straight through these first tunnels without taking any of the side turns, and you will soon arrive at the second set of tunnels. But beware – every time you hit a patch of darkness, a wild Pokemon will appear.
Step 2
Of course, if you are feeling adventurous, there is no reason not to search the first set of tunnels thoroughly. Simply turn off the route at every junction, and you will discover valuable items off the beaten path.
- Take the second junction to discover a Hard Stone.
- Turn off the path at the third junction to discover TM65 Shadow Claw.
Step 3
Glittering Cave’s second set of tunnels is much easier to navigate but features even more danger. Several members of a stylish yet snobby group called Team Flare are searching for Fossils and they don’t take kindly to your presence in Glittering Cave. Be ready to battle these Team Flare Grunts as you continue your search for the Fossil Lab assistant.
Step 4
Eventually, a pair of Team Flare Grunts will block your path. Serena/Calem catches up with you at this point and offers to clear the feisty fashionistas from your path. You are given the chance to prepare your Pokemon before the Multi Battle begins, so take advantage of this time and put your best brawler at the front of your party.
Step 5
The Fossil Lab assistant you seek is conducting research just beyond the site of the Multi Battle. Speak to the assistant, and he will let you take one of the fossils he has just found. You may choose either the Jaw Fossil or the Sail Fossil. The choice you make will determine the Pokemon you will receive when the fossil is restored back at the lab. If you choose the Jaw Fossil, you will get a powerful Rock and Dragon type Pokemon called Tyrunt when you return to the Fossil Lab. If you pick the Sail Fossil, you will receive the Rock and Ice-type Amaura.
Step 6
More goodies can be found in the Glittering Cave’s second set of tunnels, provided you have taught one of your Pokemon the field move Rock Smash. Shatter every cracked rock you see to discover items but beware of wild Pokemon that occasionally pop out.
Step 7
The Fossil Lab in Ambrette Town is your next stop, but it is a long trek back to fresh air. Fortunately, there is an Escape Rope on the ground close by. If you are in a hurry, use this item to return back to Ambrette Town.
