Animal Crossing Island Visitors
Wendell
6:00am to 12:00am
Random day from Monday to Friday (ask Booker for specifics)
Wendell is a free-loading artist who travels the countryside in search of inspiration – and free food! He is always looking for a handout, and he will eat just about anything. If you feed him, he will reward you with cool design patterns that you can use to decorate your town.
Feed him fruits, turnips or acorns
Turn your town into an old-school RPG with these throwback designs. Feed Wendell fruits, nuts or turnips to receive custom patterns with a retro video-game feel. Place them on the ground outside or make a cool shirt or hat.
Feed him freshwater fish
Does your town need some roadwork? If you give Wendell creatures caught in rivers, lakes and other freshwater spots, he will give you roadway patterns and other designs. Place them on the ground to create your own roads within your town.
Feed him ocean fish
If you upgrade your roads, you had better upgrade your road signs, as well. Wendell will give you road signs for any fish you catch at the beach. Some ocean fish will net you other cool designs, such as the fossil dummy or storm drain.
Gulliver
On the top screen between 6.00am and 12.00pm
Random day from Monday to Friday (ask Booker for specifics)
Gulliver is a far-out space nut that flies around town in a UFO. Watch the top screen and listen for audible clues to spot him in the air. (Booker will also let you know when Gulliver has been sighted). Carefully aim your slingshot to shoot him out of the sky. When he lands, talk to him – he will send you on a mission to find the missing UFO parts he needs to repair his spaceship and get back in the air.
Finding Gulliver isn’t easy – you have to keep an eye out for clues to locate him. When you shoot him down, a brief cut-scene will show him crash to earth – look carefully to see if you recognise any landmarks.
Joan
6.00am to 12.00pm
Every Sunday
Joan will show up every Sunday and wander your town selling turnips. She sells the regular white turnips, and red turnips, which you can plant in the ground to grow your own. Joan is friends with Tom Nook, but she doesn’t mind if you sell her turnips to him for a profit. The prices will fluctuate, so check in with Tom daily except for Sunday when the turnip stock market is closed.
If you are holding on to some turnips, hoping to turn a big profit, don’t wait too long – turnips only last a week – after that they will start to rot and become worthless.
